EC2 Therapy: Camilla Nicholls
Welcome to the EC2 Therapy website. On this site you will find information about the confidential therapy and counselling service I provide.
There are many reasons why people from all walks of life seek counselling. Frequent triggers are anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, bereavement, problems at work, expected or unexpected life changes. Some people find they are experiencing general feelings of uncertainty or distress, others may find an event in the media might disturb emotions that have remained dormant for years or existed since childhood.
Talking to a therapist in a safe, confidential environment can enable difficult feelings and situations to be confronted and resolved. Being heard properly for the first time can often be an important first step on a successful therapeutic journey.
I have experience of working with depression, stress and anxiety, relationship and family issues, sexual and physical abuse, employment and redundancy issues, gender issues, race issues, bereavements, addictions and eating disorders and serious illness.
I am able to offer long (often referred to as 'open-ended') and short-term (often referred to as 'fixed term') therapy.
I hold a professional qualification in psychodynamic counselling with adults. I am a member of BACP, the main professional body that regulates the counselling profession in the UK, and adhere to their ethical framework. I have regular supervision as the ethical framework requires. I respect and value diversity.
My background working in the national media and with leading arts organisations gives me a particular understanding of the inherent pressures and challenges of these industries.
My consulting room is centrally located in London EC2 close to many local and national public transport links and has disabled access. It is a safe and confidential space.
